Well, this was supposed to be a “down day” and serve as a reward for the hard work over the last ten days in which there were no breaks or holidays. Not for me, though. It is 5PM and I am just getting back from a whole series of activities like taking Nick for a haircut (elective on his part), playing with baby Salome (which was a blast), meeting Rena’s pastox, and spending about three hours with our friend Birbal.
He works for a missixns organization here that we have partnered with in the past that as a result of medical and dental initiatives of Arise have permitted favorable conditions for new chxxches to be formed. It is a great pleasure to serve with these courageous “chxxch planters” who work in very remote locations.
This morning I was asking why there was extra money in my pocket and why was I carrying an extra, brand new medical camp bag all Summer?
Well,by 2PM, Birbal was pulling out on his motorbike with that very bag fully stocked to the hilt and ready to do some medical camps in Dhading, a hilly and remote district, in central Nepal. Please pray that the Lxxd will use our resources in their hands to bless and glorify.
On another note, there are several things going on that are adverse to Believers in Nepal, especially Kathmandu and the national chxxch, but please pray for them too. For these reasons, we will not be attending local chxxches this weekend just prior to our departures this Saturday and Sunday.
Blessings, and if you can smile as big as Birbal, you’re doing fine!!

PS… tomorrow I hope to post the final picture from Jomsom before we blasted out yesterday.
